I have always worked, and always thought I would work until I hit the golden years. Since my stroke I can no longer work. It took 19 months to get Social Sercurity to kick in and by the time the back pay hits your bills have added so much in intrest and other charges that it covers about half of what you owe. Every month is a struggle to pay the rent and buy food for the kids, much less much else. I'm not sure what I'm looking for, I would just like to see a light at the end that's not headlights of an oncomming truck. Maybe someone out there has been through this and knows someway to help me and my family. Last year's Christmas was very slim I wanted this one to be better.
